Fun and Functional
It may just be a clever gimmick (after all, did we need a built in pump when we were kids?), but I still love the ingenuity behind the Infusion basketball! You merely rotate a slot on the ball(using a strong fingernail or a coin) to release a built-in mini pump that rises like an outtie belly button from within the ball. Pump, and the air pressure increases for better bounce and control--it really works.

Besides the `kewl'factor, the pump is nice when you leave for the court without checking the ball, or you play so long that some extra pressure in needed. The pump did not makethe ball feel lopsided. There is a little break-in time: The pump mechanism can be a little stiff, especially in the beginning.Additionally, the ball has pronounced grooves and "bumples,"but these will smooth with use.This model's smaller size ball is excellent for the pre-teen;it feels realistic but will fit some players' hands better than a full-size.
