Piece of junk
Watched their video, tried many times to get it started - no success. Worst piece of junk I've ever wasted my money on.

Dynaflex wears out after use
I have had my dynaflex for 4 days now, i use it at work while sitting at my desk, was very pleased with it at first and it still works great, just doesnt work as smooth as the first day i bought it and continues to wear more and more. Because of the high RPMs and torque, the cheap materials used in its construction haven't held up to very well and wore out after just a couple hours of use. The smooth hum sound has been replaced with a loud rattling buzz. The ball still works great, I'm just not able to use at work anymore because of the noise. Great exercize though.

Better than expected! The lights glow really well.
After about 5 minutes I finally figured out how to get the Powerball to spin fast. Once I got it going the lights glowed very brightly and I was pleasantly surprised because I hadn't expected them to work so well. I bought the powerball because my forearms and hands are weak even though I exercise a lot.You can really feel the torque from the powerball. Playing with the ball definitely exercises the hand and forearm.

This POWER BALL rocks!
I first had the opportunity to use the powerball from my boyfriend whom is an avid golfer. But after *playing* with and being in awe by the lights alone, and the workout, I had to get one for myself!!! And I sit and work on my computer 8-10 hours a day fearing carpal tunnel syndrome, but this makes for a great tension breaker, it really does strengthen you arms, wrists, biceps, and triceps. It makes for a great conversation piece at the desk or amongst co-workers, plus you can challenge each other with the add-on speedometer (i'll probably end up getting that soon) You won't regret getting it, if you're a gadget freak, this is totally perfect, and I love that it requires NO BATTERIES!!!!

Fun...at a price.
I first heard about this device from Dr. C. in a dynamics class at UMR (I'm an ME student).The PowerBall seems to be well constructed, and it is fun to use.I knew from class how it operated, but it still took a few minutes of messing around with it to really get it going.I was not able to get it started without the cheap shoelace-like string that comes with it, but then discovered that sweeping it briskly along a low shag carpet was sufficient to get it started.

I am only giving it 4 stars because although I think it is a neat device and a good work-out, I do not believe that its price is reasonable.IMHO, although it is well constructed, the actual cost of the materials used in its construction is probably no more than a couple of dollars.I would say that if this device was more in demand and there was competion to produce it, $10-15 would be a fair price.

Nothing fancy, but useful
I purchased the 1 lb. Gravity Gripp ball.

The product is nothing fancy, of course, and it's best used as a hand exercise to squeeze between the heel of the palm and parts of the fingers (rotating the ball to a new position between squeezes). Took a *little* bit to realize not to just rest it in the palm and squeeze, which does little.

I suppose if one has use it can also be used as an easy-to-hold 1 lb. weight.

I *do* very much prefer balls like this over the more mechanical hand exercisers that are out there. I've also found it helpful to combine the hand exercises with something else like, say, burning time on an exercise bike.

Many would probably also find the Gripp balls useful as a desktop squeeze stress-reliever.

Though *easily* rinsable, the ball does seem to pick up a mild amount of dirt over time if one's hands aren't always 100% clean. Not a big deal at all, and nothing like difficult-to-clean mechanical products.

Very nice, seemingly well-built product. The good stuff always does seem to end up being pretty simple in the end.

(All I wish is that it was available in, say, neon/weirder colors, even heavier weights, etc.)
