I have tried the Speedo swim radio, but found it difficult to hear because water would leak past the earplugs into my ear, effectively blocking the sound.The Aqua Sphere transmits the sound via teeth and bone.One must still wear a swim cap or ear plugs in order to cut down on the water sounds.The Aqua Sphere is expensive, but provides a more effective way of radio listening.Takes a bit of adjustment to swim with a snorkel (i.e. I had to get used to not letting in water through my nose when using eye goggles).Signal strength must be strong (a local FM station works best).Overall, I am pleased with the Aqua Sphere. ... A Few Quirks, But A Fine Tool
This is actually a review of the Polar S-710i, which has been replaced by the 720.My watch is now over 4 years old and I've got a ton of usage out of it.I use it hiking, biking, running and climbing.It's a great way to document your training and adventures.Being able to plot HR, speed and altitude helps to understand how your training plan is working (or not!).

A couple of minor quibbles: the bezel scratches easily, then it gets hard to read the output data, so I use a tennis-type wrist band to protect the watch if I'm doing stuff that might scratch it.I think the bike speed sensor should be improved - it eats battries pretty quickly and is overly sensitive to setup.If you have the watch in the auto start/stop mode, a flakey speed sensor can mess up your workout record.Hopefully future models will come with more storage capacity.At the 5-second rate, you get 12 hours and I'd rather have double or quadruple that.Too bad they can't cram a GPS in there...And, finally, the software and setup for the IR link needs a retooling - it is lousy!But all these complaints don't mask that this is a great toy for playing and training!
