My son loves it!
My husband and I went looking for a good baby float and came across this one, we immediately chose it because we both love our adult spring floats.Yes it is true they can put their face in the water but as long as you are there its not a big deal, I mean how else are they going to learn how to hold their breath? I love it and will definitly be using it next year for my son who is 9 months right now!

This Product Needs to Be Recalled!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this for my 8 month old, and she almost drowned because she can put her face in the water face down very easily with me being right there!!!The mesh fills with water and it is not safe. She could have also crawled out of it if she wanted to. I know on the product it does give that warning.Please do not buy this product!!! It is very dangerous. I have notified the manufacturer of my worries and concerns, so hopefully they can make it safer for us moms.

Safe way to explore water
This is a great floatation device that allows baby to explore water without tipping over.The mesh seperating the tubes is an ideal location for babies toys.Love it!!!
Also, helpful to know that I use it on my 8 month old son.

Nice pool float...
We just went to the beach with our son and bought this at Wal-greens for the same price.I had read the reviews on here and decided that I wanted to try it.Our son is almost 7 months old so I can not say how it would do for a younger baby.The age range listed does not recommend it for a younger baby either.Our son enjoyed this float and it was nice to be able to hold onto it and float with him.It does put the baby more into the water than the typical inflatable baby float so you want to pay close attention to your baby of course. Keep in mind what other reviewers have said about the baby's ability to lean forward in this float.My son was able to get his face into the water at times but this float is recommended for an older baby and would give you the ability to get several months of use out of it. ... Exactly what I was looking for
I was looking for a pool that was easy to empty and that had a shade built in. Now my son is only 11 months old. We put an inch of water in the pool and we sit next to the pool and he walks around kicking water, hands us his toys and he is protected from being in direct sunlight. He loves his pool and so do we. Plus you can remove the shade if you want to since it is just velco that keeps it on. Wonderful kiddie pool to toddler pool. Especially since most kiddie pools don't have shades.

This pool ROCKS!
We got this pool about 10 days ago and we absolutely love it!!!
First we used it filled with water with the sunshade part on top of it. I have to say that we didn't have any problems with the "roof" coming off even in windy weather. I just make sure that the velcro circles fit EXACTLY on top of eachother. There is lots of space inside the pool for at least 4 or 5 kids (well, around 4 or so). It's one of the few pools in this price class that can be filled up nicely for a lot of summer fun for preschoolers.
Right now it is being used as a ball pit with 600 balls in it(we had some rainy weather)...the kids are having a blast every single day they go in it.
The design is very different from the picture on the web site - the pool is not see-through and it's red and yellow with colorful circles ("balls") on it. Perfect if you want to use it as a ball pit!
This is the best splash pool we had so far - quality and size wise + the sunshade feature - and it even doubles as a ball pit...I highly recoomend this one to families with multiple children.

Bought it as a big ball pit!
My two year old son loves to play in ball pits, the problem is that all the real ball pits on the market allow for the balls to spill out (I'm sure to avoid lawsuits) after the first layer of balls, so he could never really "swim" in them like at those big parks or Chuck E. Cheese's. So I picked this one up and used it as a ball pit. It's perfect because it's close to the ground so he can run and jump inside, and it's a great size. Not too big, not too small. It's takes about 600-700 balls to fill up and it takes the usual "ruff-housing" that is associated with ball pits. The best part is that it came with a diffrent pattern that from the picture, not fish on the side but balls, so it turned out great.

punctured in one day
We received this pool as a present for our 1 year old.She had so much fun with it.She was able to get in and out of the pool on her own (she figured out you could hold on to the corners while swinging your feet in).She loved the inflatable sides- she would hang over them and splash in the water.However, this pool lasted only one afternoon before it got a hole in the lower chamber.I tried patching it twice but the pool was deflated the next day.As for the sun shade, our daughter thought it was a game pulling it off the velcro.It was not sturdy at all.I am going out tomorrow to buy a hard plastic pool!

Sun shade pool
When I purchased this pool I thought it would be great to keep the sun off the kids. I blew up the 2 pieces with a electric pump and the canopy would not stay full of air and it was too heavy to stay up. They only have velcro to hold it in place. Don't waste your money!!!!
We didnt even get a full summer's use of this toy. It constantly leaked from different places and after it was patched in a dozon places we decided to get rid of it and get a new one. I was dissapointed b/c I thought it lookes really cute and liked that it had a little shady portion under the rainbow.
My 1 year old son wans't that fond of it anyway and I don't think he will miss it.

I don't usually write reviews - but when I got the review e-mail from amazon, I had to do it.We set this pool up for our 2 daughters ( 3.5 and 2) last week.It was an easy set up with an electric air pump - took about 15 minutes to set up.The girls LOVE it and it has been very durable so far.They have say on the edges, jumped on them, sat and jumped on the blow-up dolphin, no problems at all, and no leaking.
great buy - worth every cent.

KIDS LOVE THIS POOL
I do really like this pool so do my kids 2 & 3 1/2 I just bought this pool today and have been outside all day while the kids played in it. I have only one thing i do not like about this pool the dolphins do not stand up very well. But i'm not that worried about it the kids do not mind so why should I. I'm hopping this is the only thing about the pool I'm not very happy about. All in all i think and my kids think it is a really fun cool pool.

Worth every penny
This pool is an absolute must have!We got this for our 2 daughters, ages 3 1/2 and 11 months.They both love it - especially my oldest.Watching her expression as we pumped up the pool and all of its parts was a good indication of how much she would love it!

There are many parts to blow up and it does take awhile.I ended up buying a Coleman pump but would recommend using the Intex, high output.With our pump, it took about an hour to blow up all the pieces but again, it was well worth it.

We have had it outside, in the sun, in high 90 degree temperatures.The rainbow arch and dolphins require extra air with every use.My arch works fine.I think the reviewers that had problems with theirs didn't have their arch blow up very well.

Overall, this pool is excellent!I like the size of it, not too big and not too small, my daughter likes the toys and activities on it and I like that is seems very safe.It is also very cute!

I hope we'll have it for year's to come!

What fun!!!
I bought this pool for my 23 month old daughter.She absolutely loves it.She walks around saying "swim in pool."Once she gets in it is hard to get her out.I have not had any problems with it.Just use an air compressor to blow it up.We have really enjoyed this pool!!!! ... Read more

Maybe I'm just paranoid
Maybe I'm just paranoid but the section of the float where the baby sits holds less air than the adult section.I wouldn't dare let go, but it seemed like my baby started to sink & possibly MIGHT tip if I didn't hold the adult side down.I have to admit though, my 17 pound 3-1/2 month old loves it.He can sit up with little support and goes to town kicking.

Awesome product!
The first time I used the "Baby and Me Float" I was comforted by the proximity of my child.I actually cuddled him the first 15-minutes, or so.Baby sits a little deeper in this float than the cheap ones drug stores carry, so that gave me peace of mind.The float requires 100% adult interaction, as baby could tip it over if left unattended.We usually swim as a family, so either my husband, or I would carry our son into the water, and place him in the float, while the other parent slipped into the ring.If you're considering using this float without assistance from another adult, I recommend leaving the float on the deck before entering the water.This way you're free to carry your baby into the water without distractions.

Both my husband and I were comfortable using the float.That's saying a lot!My husband is 6'7" tall and weighs 240 pounds, while I'm only 5'3" tall and weigh....What?If you expected me to divulge my weight on a product review, you're crazy!Anyhow, the float accommodates a variety of shapes, sizes, and weights.Aqua Leisure does not provide a weight capacity for this product, which I find unusual, but considering it's a floatation device and water weight is drastically different than actual weight, it might be discretionary.The float is recommended for babies 6-months to 2-years.That's probably an accurate recommendation; however, I wouldn't use age as the determining factor.If your child sits confidently in a highchair, then they're probably strong enough for this float.In addition, the baby seat is rather generous, so it accommodates older, or larger children as well.

The "Baby and Me Float" is long lasting.We used the float for two summers without leaks, or puncture wounds.Phoenix has a long outdoor season, April through October, so that's equivalent to 6 or 7 months of continual use.I'd say that's an exceptional record for a floatation device.I'm not sure if the float deflates if the toy bar's penetrated, as my son wasn't much of a nibbler at that age.Although if you ask me, the toy bar's useless.The balls don't roll easily, and the rings are difficult to slide.Well, for a 1-year old anyway.

Fun in the water!
We bought this for my son, who was about 9 months old at the time.He absolutely loved being in the water.I liked the fact that I could be right there, facing him, talking to him, kicking us around the pool.He soon learned to kick, too, and would lean the was he wanted to kick.Sometimes my 5 year old daughter would go in it facing him and I would stay at their side.It was a lot of fun for the family.The only problem was the ring holder.My sister had the same float, and both boys bit a hole in theirs before the summer ended.It was just too tempting a target, right in front of them for periods of time, with those new, interesting, sharp little teeth!Gently encouraging him not to bite didn't work, but I would buy this again if I have another baby simply for the enjoyment on all our parts!

Great Way to Bond and get a tan!!
My 3 1/2 mo. old daughter loves it!Supports her 13 lbs great, I hold on to her just a bitbut won't have to for much longer.Highly recommend this for mom's (or dad's aunts, grandma's..) wanting to share the experience of water with their little one.Also, my daughter was barely in the water 5 minutes when she was already reaching for the colored rings, twirling them around.Stimulated her brain a bit - can't beat that.And this was our first time EVER in the water!

Great Float for Babies and parents
I bought this float when my daughter was about six months old.She loved it and quickly learned to love the pool, she is three now and is loves to swim (she uses a floating suit).My second daughter was enjoying it until someone stole it from the pool.I think I enjoyed it as much as them as I had quality time in the pool with them.Also, it makes it easier to juggle multiple kids in the pool at one time if one is "attached" to you.Highly recommend this toy.I'm on line now to replace ours! ... Very Disappointed
The Deluxe Tot Trainer did not seem to work for my son. He is almost two. It didn't seem to keep him afloat and he also would tip face first in the water.

I used this tube with all three of my 1 year olds!!!
This was the BEST trainer for all three of my infants! Although it says for 2 year olds, I found that after 2 experiences in the tube with me right there holding onto the tube for balance, they EASILY learned how to balance by themselves. Both my sons had May birthdays and my daughter July so she was in the tube before her 1st birthday and it was a Godsend because they learned independence in the water before they could walk. I never left their sight of course, but I never had to hold on to them so tightly. My oldest is 5 and he's been swimming independently since he was 3. My daughter 2 1/2 still wears arm floaties but doesn't need my assistance. The baby is 13 months and his use of the trainer allows me to play with all three children. For those of you who gave up, give it another chance with you right there until they get the hang of it. It's much better than anything else I've found on the market!!!

Best thing ever made
This is the best thing ever made for young children. We have 5 year old and a three year daughters. I bought the swim trainer when my oldest was two she loved it and we passed it down to my youngest she loves it too. It gives them the freedom to go all over the pool. My 3 yr old just leans foward and kicks where ever she wants to go. Plus you don't have to worry about them falling in the pool with no float because is is attached. My oldest loved it when she was smaller. Last year we moved her to the step 3 swimmer. (the life jacket looking one) She is 5 this summer And I am very happy and proud to say she is swimming on her on. She can dive in the deep end and sliding down the slide. And we don't have one of the little pools ours is 12 ft deep. My three year old will be doing the same by the time she is 5 to. I really think this swimmer is a great start to learn to swim it makes the child learn to lean forward and kick back.

Very dependable
My husband and I found this to be very good for our daughter. We have taken her to the ocean and to pools, and each time, while we are right there by her, it keeps her up above the water at all times. of course, you must be very vigilant....but it does what it is supposed to. It is a great way to teach them how to swim. I can not remember if this was the same brand we had for our son, but it looks exactly the same, and he used one for about 5 years......and we never had a problem...of course he went through two different sizes in that time. He loved it and my daughter loves hers.

dangerous swimming gear
I see that this item gets a pretty good rating overall, I have to disagree. A friend bought this tot trainer for our son (2 1/2 years old at the time) as a gift about a year ago and of course we tried it out straight away. As soon as we let him float a little, without being held, the rubber ring around the waist tipped and caused a very frightened little boy to tip forward, almost face down in the water! needless to say this item has ended up in the garage where it is safely out of use. ... Beep, Beep, Beep
My daughter who is 10months is in love with this float. We have been through 2 other floats and this is the one that makes her feel more comfortable. She has room to play and still remain secure in the float. She just loves the horn when it is pressed although when water gets inside the horn it sounds a little funny. All and All I say we have a winner!

We like it enough we're going to give it a 3rd try
Our toddler loves her float! She's quite comfortable in it, and it (thankfully) gives our arms a break in the pool. However, we're about to return our second one to the store to give it a 3rd shot. First one, the steering wheel broke off before we even got it blown up (and left a couple of unsafe, sharp plastic pieces behind). Store swapped it out for us, no problem, except now the second one has a leak (blew it up last night, it's flat this morning). Guess we'll be taking it back again. Hopefully the third time's the charm as my daughter really seems to like it and (despite our experience thus far) it feels like it ought to be more durable than many of the alternatives.

OK for very young babies
3-stars for fun because he enjoyed it for about 5 minutes till he realized that he couldn't hit the water with his hands.

3-stars for educational value because there really isn't any.

5-stars for durability because we just bought it and he probably won't use it again till he is a better swimmer.

We bought this toy for our 18 month old son who is fearless when it comes to the water (but doesn't understand that you can't breathe underwater....so he has to be watched closely).He kept trying to dive out of it and then he would cry because he couldn't reach the water to splash-splash.

This toy is better suited for either a much younger child who is afraid of the water or one that is already a swimmer.

Passed the two year old test
We got our "toddler racer" in the mail yesterday, and my two year old son was already honking the horn, turning the wheel and trying to climb in before I could finish inflating it.Our pool experience was a lot more fun as we could swim and play games with him without having to take turns holding him at all times.He had a blast, too.He's still obsessed with it and is actually sitting in it right now (inside the house).Highly recommended!

A Really Fun Toy
I have had this pool for about three years now and my son absolutely loves it.We accidently popped the first one, (it was our fault), and we had to go get another one.My son really wanted another one like this.My 10 year-old son plays in the pool with him as well. They both can play in the pool comfortably.The sprinkler feature is really nice and my son really likes this.I recommend this item for a lot of summer fun.

A really nice pool
We've had this pool now for what will be our third summer. My son has enjoyed it since he was only 5 months old and is now 2. The sides are wide and sturdy enough for him to sit/lay on without caving the whole thing in and he loves bouncing up and down on the tail. So far it's held up, no leaks and I'm rather surprised since most blow up pools don't last 1 summer. Anyways, the blow hole is a fun feature (you hook it up to the hose) that my son loves as well. Another nice thing is that the pool is large enough for me to sit in with my legs fully extended (I'm 5'7). Inflating it takes some time and massive effort if you don't have an electric pump, so we keep it inflated all year round and just store in rafters in the garage during the winter. This is a great pool.

A God Send
I bought this pool for my 1 yr old daughter in 2003 and we used it all summer long.We would typically take it down after a few uses to let the lawn breathe.It withstood this many many times and never once gave us a problem.We haven't set it up this year yet but I don't expect it to give us many problems due to it's durabilty. My daughter just loves this pool and I would buy it again or atleast one from the same makers.

I bought this toy for my daughters 1st birthday
The first time we used the pool it had a air leak. She loved playing in the water and loved the whale's tale. Unfortunatly after 2 uses the pool is deflated. I expected to use the pool through the summer. It is not a durable pool.

Bought this today and my 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it. A nice size for her, she had a baby pool last year which she outgrew. We pull her Little Tikes slide over and put the end into the pool so with this pool she has more space to land. Buy the Electric air pump it fills it up in minutes! Can't live without it!
Great product! Bought the "little swimmer" for my daughter who was almost 2 at the time. Then passed it on to my son who is now almost 2. Bought the "power swimmer" for my daughter last year (when she was 3), unfortunately one of the strings on the side snapped yesterday, but that was after LOTS of use!! So I'm now purchasing another one for her, because we couldn't live without it!

Power Swimr, from Swim Ways, Great piece of mind for parents
Great product and much better than the imitators.The "Swimr" Swim Ways product is better because of the elastic, adjustable threading on both sides for easy adjustments to fit different children or to loosen to get on and off.Other "floaties" we bought after the Swimr only had elastic, non adjustable strips on each side, that did not allow you to tightly fit it on the child, causingthe float literally lift up, pinching in on the child's neck.Because you can easily tighten the Swimr, it does not have this issue.We have used the Swimr for our 3 and 4 year olds (now 6 and 5) and just bought another for our 2 year old.These are hard to find in stores, but well worth the cost and effort.Great piece of mind for parents trying to watch 2-3 kids at the pool at the same time!

This is a terrific product.Keeps the child perfectly boyant while allowing free movement of arms and legs.Helps build the child's confidence in the water for those who are hesitant and provides a measure of protection for those who are fearless (adult supervision, of course, at all times).It's lightweight, adjustable, easy to store, and durable.We first bought one a few years ago for our son who is now 7 and on his own in the water, and another one for our second son who is now 4 (both started using it at about age 2).

Gets them learning to swim fast!
This swim aid gives the child additional buoyancy, but doesn't automatically keep them upright like a life jacket would.Consequently, the first thing the child learns is how to tread water with the aid of a little added buoyancy.This starts them swimming like like you wouldn't believe!Both our boys learned to stay upright and to propel themselves through the water at 20 and 25 months of age.The older son discarded the vest by age 4, then passed the deep water swimming test at our neighborhood pool before his fifth birthday, the youngest child to do so there.I'm convinced it was in large part because of lots of practice with this swim trainer.

awesome helper for early swimmer
I bought my first one of these for my son when he was about 3 and it has been great. He has special needs and may possibly never totally master independent swimming but with this he can feel very competant and gain skills. He has graduated to the larger size now and my daughter who is 2 used his old one this summer and within just a month or so she was swimming independently. Being able to adjust the amount of needed support is great. You need to watch your child closely to adjust where they need more of the pads (front or back)to stay level. With this the kids have their arms free to really learn how to swim rather then the arm floaties where they just kind of flail their arms in the water. ... Read more

Great Swim Aid
I got this last year for my toddler and he was able to swim almost anywhere in the pool.A friend recomended it to me and credits this float with helping her son learn to swim.

Great teaching device
My daughter started with this a year ago and is doing great.The device really helps children build confidence and independence in the water, which essential in learning to swim. Unlike rings and devices that go fit around arms, the Swim Trainer does not restrict arm movement, which is essential to learning to balance and swim.

Tipping Over:Some reviewers comment that their children lose their balance in the Swim Trainer and go face down in the water.Initially you still have to be there and help your child with balance until they can do it alone--learning to balance and control your body is an important first step in swimming, just as with walking. The point when the child can balance most of the time leads to confidence and independence ("Do it myself!"). Rings and flotation devices that fit on the arms will make it much easier for the child to balance, but the child therefore won't learn to swim as quickly.Also, most rings and arms flotation devices are inflatable and often prohibited by swimming clubs and public pools.

Best swimmy ever
This is the best swimmy out on the market right now.It completely keeps your child out of the water.As you take the panels out as they grow they don't even realize that they can swim.Before you know it you don't need it anymore.

My 2 1/2 year old swims by herself
My 2 1/2 year old can really swim by herself.As long as she has the vest on I let her have free rein in the pool.She really has learned to kick and user her arms unrestraint by other floation devices.Just recently we have taken the vest off and she really can swim on her back without assistance and on her stomach with some supervision.I have used the vest for last summer and this summer.I recommend that you rinse it out in after every use and keep it out of the sun or the materal will break down.One extra thing they could do is put some cushioning on the bungee cords under the arms.My daughter loves it too!

Works painfully well

Not Safe for 6 month old
A friend and I bought this for our 6 month old daughters (17 and 18lbs each). This is a good toy as it seats them fine, however, the problem arises if you do not hold on to your child. My daughter kept sliding to one side and could have easily slid into the water if I wasn't holding on to her physically. There is also too much space btw the seat and the toy in front of the child. The girls couldn't reach it without falling forward. Average infant floating device but I would NOT go my the recommended age. 6 months is too young.

my son LOVED it!
we found this toy at a local toy store this last summer. My son LOVED it. We started using it with him when he was 7 months old and he enjoyed it for the whole summer. It did develop a slow leak, I wish it was a little more durable... but for the price we got it at, and the enjoyment it gave our son, it was well worth it.As far as the tipping problem goes, your child should NEVER be left unattended. Yes, we had to hold on to the handle at all times, but that is why they are there in the first place. My son used this boat until it was simply too late in the season to go to the pool, and I plan on buying the next step up for next season!

Great Fun, Terrible Quality
My 13 month old son used to be a fish in his previous life and hence has a natural affinity for water. When we bought this toy, the first one had a leak so I had it exchanged for another one which worked great for all of 15 minutes before it self destructed (developed a 1-1/2 inch hole along one of the seals). mercifully it did not explode but deflated in seconds.

The fault could be partly mine because I was pushing it through water. I think if you just let the baby sit in it in water without horsing around at all, it may hold but that wouldn't be fun. If you want to use it actively in water, look for something else.

I would recommend that if you decide to buy it anyway, buy it from your local store which has it for the exact same price of about $15 so that you may return/exchange it easily.

Nice Toy
I have used this float toy several times with my 17 month old daughter. unlike the first review it has never came close to tipping over .YOU JUST NEED TO WATCH YOUR CHILD IN IT ALL THE TIME. i would recomend this to all.

Doesn't Support Baby at All
I took my 20 pound, 6 month old baby into the pool with me this past weekend.The seat, to put it bluntly, sucks.It's only connected to the outer ring by four little straps of single layer plastic.The inner seat moves around inside the inflated ring.As a result, the seat tipped forward unless I leaned on the back ring of the boat to keep my son level.From that position, I couldn't see whether he was enjoying the water or not.If I had held on to him using the green handles in front I have no doubt I would have tipped him over.

The "toys" in front are awful.They blow up with the same valve that inflates the rest of the boat and not very well.The rings don't inflate at all and the three plastic balls don't move in their tube.Never mind that my little guy can't see past the darned thing.

I am extremely disappointed in this product.My sister happened to have a hard plastic baby boat with a cloth sling-like seat and a beautiful shaded canopy that kept the sun off my little guy-- I'll be using that for the rest of the summer. Pool is only ok!
Everyone else who reviewed this pool seems to love it, but I had a different experience.We used this pool last summer and put it ontop of a new tarp on our patio. It got a hole in the bottom anyway and now it is worthless. Also, if you don't have an automatic pump that works fast, this pool takes a century to fill with air using, for example, a bike pump!We are going to buy a hard plastic pool this year for our toddler.
My son did enjoy the fish on the pool, when it was usable and the sides are sturdy enough for an adult to sit on.

Purchase of the Year
I bought this pool for the express purpose of using it for tailgting at this year's Belmont Stakes.I arrived at Belmont Park around 9am, and we set out to inflate the pool.Once inflated, it was filled with ice and beer and we positioned our folding chairs around the perimeter of the pool.We couldn't have been more comfortable.We had our feet up on the edge of the pool, and I had a smile on my face from ear to ear.Our beer pool was the hit of the Belmont as we were photogrpahed by countless photographers from various media outlets.

This pool passed the test and I would buy another any time.

Great as a labor/birth pool!
I bought this pool to use as a labor/birth pool for my home birth last year. It was so comfy with the inflatable sides & bottom and the perfect depth for being able to really sink down into the water. It was easy to inflate & fill. Big enough for me to change positions and get comfortable in (as comfortable as one can be in labor) yet small enough to fit in my living room. I didn't end up giving birth in the water, but the pool has not gone to waste. My 3 year old enjoyed playing in it last summer & it was big enough for my husband & I to get in with her. Very sturdy & we will definitely be using it again this summer!

We loved it... til the storm came!
This is a great pool. My 2-year old and I enjoyed it. He used it at his birthday party and easily fit 3 children. Unfortunately, our pool has blown away in a storm... :-( I am very disappointed that I didn't have it better secured and wish that whoever found it would have brought it back! At least it wasn't a ton of $!

Fun in the sun...err covered patio!
This pool is a wonderful asset to townhome living. It fits beautifully on my small covered patio, yet is large enough for fun play! I am no small woman, yet I fit in it with my 2 children. The Intex product line is well known for it's durability and craftmanship for a good reason! Great!
I bought this for my two year old daughter.She felt so secure and confident with this sweater that she didn't feel the need to hold on to me the whole time.Like she did with the arm type swimmies.I would reccommend this to any child learning how to swim.I have bought three, one for our house, one for the sitter's house and one for Grandmom's.

Best swim float around!!!
We used the swim sweater a couple of years ago when my 6 yr. old was 2 1/2.We put in a pool and went through many floatation devices, all which were terribly cumbersome or they didn't hold him upright.Then we found this.What a wonderful product!!!He took to the water right away and never looked back.It basically taught him HOW to swim.You still have to kick your legs and move your arms to get from one place to another.He used the swim sweater for two years in a row and now swims like a pro.My little girl is now using this and she's two in July.She loves it as much as her brother did and so do we!

MUST HAVE!

My two-year old loves the pool. She hates the confinement of floats, though, so I would carry her around in the water constantly wrestling to keep her from pushing away to attempt swimming on her own. She LOVES her swim sweater. Even though I am with her every second in the water I don't have to constantly cling on to her - she feels so autonomous and is really getting good at paddling around the pool. Not worth the money!The inflatable ring is a pain!!
We first bought one of these pools last summer.Right after filling the entire pool we had to take it back because not only did the filter not work, the hose leaked, and there was a hole in the inflatable ringwe could not find.Luckily the store we bought it from returned it and gave us another.This pool also had a leak in the ring that we had to fill daily, but we kept it because it was not worth the hassle to take it back again.We stored the pool for the winter and when we got it out this summer, the leak fromlast year must have gotten bigger, because I now have to fill it up at least 3 times a day.I did find one hole that I patched, but it is still leaking somewhere else. I have notified Aqua Leisure and I have not been getting any feedback at all from them.They seem to be selling many of these pools, but the next one I purchase is NOT going to be a Simple Set.They are not worth all of the hassle.

Well worth the Purchase!
Our family wasn't ready for the "commitment" of a big pool, so this pool has been wonderful!We don't have small children, but it is perfect for my husband and I to lay out in on floats, and still plenty of room for our teenage son to play around in and cool off.Simple to set up and only 2 hours to fill completely! Highly recommend!

I love this pool so much. You have so much room. If you dont want a samll pool than this is the pool for you. You can learn to do a lot of stuff in it. You can play with toys and even swim. Wonderful!!!!
I have tried plenty of floating devices for my 2 1/2 year old son. he loves to be in the water and hates for us to be holding him all the time. I was a little scared to try this, thinking it would end up with the rest of the floaties we have tried. but once I got him in the pool, he let go of my hand and swam to the other side of the pool. I felt comfortable letting him explore on his own (while being at arms reach) and he actually paddled and kicked. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting something safe for thier children.

Great for Toddlers!
I recently bought this floater (after wasting tons money on others), and all I have to say is thank you to the Swim Sweater!.My son who is 2 1/2 loves this floater, it makes him feel like a big boy.He does go forward sometimes but he manages to put his head back and paddle.It also gives him a lot of freedom in the pool, and I don't have to be pushing him around like with the other floater, although I'm ALWAYS next to him. He's now more confident and ready for swimming lessons!!

The best for toddlers and preschoolers!
We had one of these for our son starting when he was 17 months.He was/is a very tall boy, so he fit in it well before the age of 2.We tried numerous products before we found this product.None of them fit as well or worked as well.Kids CANNOT fall out of this.Toddlers need help getting it over their heads or stepping into it, and in taking it off.In the swim sweater, our toddler was able to kick and move around the pool, get more on his belly and pull with his hands, and feel safe and comfortable in the water.I highly recommend it.

Our oldest son is 8 now and a great swimmer.I'm here to buy another for our 16 month old.Buy it, you won't regret it!

Great Product
The Swim Sweater is a terrific product.My 4 year old loves it and for the first time she's not afraid to try swimming.It fits her slender build perfectly.The sweater is adjustable by inflating the tire with more or less air.I do not fear her slipping through.And as everyone knows, children should never be unsupervised in the water.

A GREAT swimming tool
My husband and I used this "swim sweater" this summer for our 3 1/2 year old and our 2 year old. It did NOT, as another reviewer feared, fall off, as you might expect by looking at the picture. (I believe the natural instinct of children is to hold on to the ring around their waist--not to raise their arms, without anything supporting their weight--think about it.)

My son, who was afraid to "let go" of the wall of the pool under any other circumstances, felt so comfortable and safe while wearing the sweater that he wanted to let go of ME after only 5 minutes! And my daughter, who was just shy of 2, amazed us by floating around the pool without a care, by herself, while wearing the swim sweater.

Good choice!!!!!
My dad and I got this pool for my 10 birthday party.I love it!! my dad and me had to start putting water in it in the morning,it took a while to fill it up,and water went to one side a little bit,but that was resonable because there is a pond next to my house.When my firends came,we had a blast!the ring kept on defating somewhat,but I didn't let that ruin the fun!!!!!!I guess this pool is somewat educational because a young child could learn to swim.I give it a five! Unlike the whale pool,the size was perfect.If you want to buy,please do!!!!!!!!!!

Great for cooling off in!
We're now using our pool for the 2nd year.My husband and I bought it for ourselves to sit in and cool off. It's been great fun and my only regret is having not splurged on a slightly deeper one.All it requires is that you follow the directions included with it and also make sure your ground is level.Hose the filter off every week & it'll last all season.To keep the water crystal clear and sanitary it's also best to research pool care a bit and buy more chemicals than just chlorine otherwise you'll be partially dumping and refilling about once a month.As far as winter storage make sure it's totally dry and pack it away in a plastic tub, the insures nothing can damage it over the winter.We couldn't be happier and plan to continue use our Easy Set until we can install a metal-walled pool.

Pool is great; "E" filter sized pump BAD
This is my second 10 ft by 30 inch pool. Last summer's pool came with an "A" sized filter pump, which attached via hoses to the side walls. We had no problems with that pool. the filter worked great.

Due to improper storage on my part, I needed to replace the pool this summer. Unfortunately, Intex reissued the pool with a "clip over the side" filter pump taking an "E" sized filter. This is half the size of the "A" filter and does, frankly, an EXTREMELY poor job cleaning the pool compared with the design we had last year.

I've gerryrigged last years "A" filter (no small feat, since there aren't side attachments for the hoses in this new pool!) to clean the pool...in an hour the water is looking cleaner than it has after running the included "E" filter for a day. There's a huge performance difference between the sizes and pumps so make sure you know what you're getting when you purchase or order.

Overall I think this pool is fantastic...it's the clip over the side pump which needs improving. ... Read more
