5-0 out of 5 stars Robosapien Rocks!
I love this robot, in fact I bought two regular Robosapiens and one mini Robosapien. It has a ton of personality, great sounds, and most importantly, it's funny as hell. There are over 67 different moves it can make.It actually walks and turns quite well, and runs for a long time on one set of batteries, which much longer than other robot toys I have.

In addition, there are tons of modifications out there that you can try, to enhance the Robot.Just search Google or Amazon's A9 for "Robosapien Hacks".There are also great free programs that you can use to greatly extend the "play life" of this little guy.

My personal favorite is a free open source program on SourceForge that let's you control him with your voice, and easily create complex scripts to make him do all sorts of wonderful thing. It's great for impressing your friends or making your own robot movies.Unfortunately you need a Windows computer and an infrared transmitter to run the program, but you can get the transmitter for cheap and most of us already have a Windows computer.

Just go to SourceForge and search for "Robosapien".It's called the Robosapien Dance Machine.

3-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining for a short time
I had higher expectations but this was for my son in the first place, I'm not sure he shares my expectations but the robot isn't getting much use so that may say something in itself.

The fluid motion is actually kind-of cool to watch, atleast for a short time.

He can't grab anything but the cup without a lot of trial and error and the objects have to be at his side in just the right place. I was under a false assumption that you could literally make incremental movements like moving the arm and hand to just the right spot then grab etc. you can't, you have a button for "pick up" and that's one motion targeting the pickup to one particular spot - the ankle area.

he looks like he's going to fall down when he walks, he doesn't it's part of the motion, sort-of an overdramatic swagger which is fun for awhile.

He throws things interestingly, that's providing you can get something picked up.

The controls are complicated but with a little time you can make sense of them.

The programing of multiple tasks aren't saveable. you loose them once you shut him off.

So this device is relegated to crashing through blocks while pretending it's doing more things. For the money I don't believe it's all that it's cracked up to be.

3-0 out of 5 stars do not buy
if you are going to waist mony this robot then go to E-clec-tech and spend $160.00 on a pino dx.

4-0 out of 5 stars 4 year old loves it
My four year old received it for Christmas. No problem playing with it, making it do commands,etc.. He loves it!!

1-0 out of 5 stars FOR GEEKS ONLY!
Unless you have a high IQ please don't even bother use. I got one for Xmas. It was incredibly hard to get out the box and we had to buy batteries too. Finally on mine the infra-red signal (what makes him "obey your commands") was totally broke. Even if he hadn't been broke it wouldn't have been much fun since you have to use color codes on the remote which is so complicated an adult would have a hard time working the robot. You are better off buying a more creative robot kit that actually lets you build the robot. This kit is for uncreative geeks only. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT!
This is a great product - my chess players DS(9); DD(13); and DH(40) are thrilled with it!We started with a real cheapie set and "graduated" to this one . . . for [this price] you cannot go wrong!Believe me . . . you get waaaaaaay more than you pay for!

5-0 out of 5 stars Not bad
Twenty bucks for a wooden folding chess board and chessmen is not a bad deal. However, the old adage "you get what you paid for" holds true here. Craftsman quality is missing in this product. The folding chess board has a magnetic strip to keep it folded. However, the chess board when unfolded for play is a bit lopsided. The wooden chessmen are standard Staunton pieces. However, they're not crafted quality pieces but are adequate enough for play. If you wanted a similar product but of higher quality then be prepared to fork over an additional $30-40 if not more. However, if you wanted a traveling chess set but don't want to pay alot of $$$ for one and don't mind the inferior quality found in this set then this is good buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Chess Set for a Great Price
Although I would have loved to have gotten my fiancee a more articulate chess set, this gem really fit my budget. When he opened it on Xmas day, he was blown away. He really enjoyed it, especially the size. The set comes with a fairly large chessboard and the pieces are nicely sized as well.

He has enjoyed many a chess game with me and our best friends. With all the use so far it has remained in excellent condition. The magnetic closure helps to secure the pieces in the inside of the fold up board. Thus, your floor will not be littered with pieces when you pick the board up.

5-0 out of 5 stars inexpensivechess set
Should sell for less half the cost , if that. Chess pieces were not carved by any craftsman, very flimsy board . Hope it lasts a year. typical chinese craftsmanship. Throw it away and buy a new one tomorow.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pavilion Chess & Checker Cabinet
This is not a "toy". This is a beautiful chess/checker board, polished and varnished oak wood. The board folds, with magnetic inserts to hold the pieces and keep it closed. The chess pieces are solid machined wood, not intricately carved, with felt on the bottoms, and certainly nicer than plastic pieces. I recognized this set when I saw the display picture; it was on a table in a millionaire's home that we were visiting last month. Now I have the same set he has. If you persist in calling this a toy, then it's a millionaire's toy and an old guy's toy -- I am past seventy. Summary: Great buy ! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
We can play this game with the entire extended family-

Our nephew who is as young as 7 can play this game and it is great for mental stratagies.

    I recommend this to all.

5-0 out of 5 stars A classic MUST!
This is a must have for all classic game lovers. With 3 of our 4 children visually disabled, it was quite easy for them to see the dots (easy for the older parents too!). The youngest children were not frustrated because they could match up the dominoes by color, and eventually learned the patterns and counting as well. They are very durable and come inside a tin that has a snug-fitting lid to prevent spills. Detailed instructions are included for many versions of play. This is a perfect game for Family Game night as the games are short enough to complete before younger players get frustrated.

5-0 out of 5 stars thumps up !
This is one of the most exciting games there is for family time, bought by one of my friends we have played for hours without getting board. Wanting to buy one of my own found ur web site, it's a shame it can only be shipped within the US.Try and consider ur border neighbors, we want to play too.
    Thank u,

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun with your neighbors and friends
We purchased the 15 color dominoe set and we loved it! We have German neighbors and we taught them how to play dominoes and
"chicken claw" (a fun dominoe game). The dominoes are so durable and colorful that even the kids were able to play with the adults. They are easy to clean (if necessary) and store nicely in their tin box. Great product!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for all ages
This is a great game for all.It makes you think, laugh, and get even with your best buddy by stealing his spot.We LOVE it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun for people 27 to 38
The age range is just an estimate, but I think it's a pretty close guess (I'm 29, my boyfriend is 35).I tried playing the 90's Game with my little brother's friends and didn't do as well. My friends and I love this game and have hours of fun with it. We usually play in teams of two or three people, and we all agree it's more entertaining that way (less pressure on the individual). I would recommend an agreed upon time limit (like 1 or 2 minutes) to answer questions, otherwise the game gets a bit long. Also, the sports questions are very specific, which puts you at a disadvantage if you don't know anything about sports (but gives you an edge if you're a sports buff). In summary, the 80's Game is a totally tubular experience for people who came of age in the 80's.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I had hoped...
I am definitely a child of the 80's but found this game a bit difficult. We did better when we played it as a team, because the sports questions were way too hard for everyone except the one sports fanatic of the group. It took a very long time to play unless you land on the jump space just right. We ended up changing the rules and it was much more enjoyable, but the questions are quite challenging even if you grew up during the 80's.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
If you were born between 1965 and 1980, you MUST own this game. The set-up of the game is good, but the questions are great. You will have a blast remembering some of the crazy songs/people/movies of the 80s.Big hair not required.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game rocks !!
I realize that a lot of people won't know all of the information from the game, but for our family it just made "family time" all the better. The four of us grouped up in two teams and played for almost 3 hours straight the first time around! It was great to remember some of the answers and to learn others. Now I just have to learn sports a little more ?!ha ha ha. If anyone just wants to have a good time, even if you don't know it all, try this game out. Have a large party at your house and play. I truly believe you'll have a great time !!

5-0 out of 5 stars Trivia With A Twist - Fun, Fun, Fun
This is a fantastic board game which is a load of fun. What you do is attempt to move through each year of the 80s (1981, 1982, 1983 etc)... although the year is really rather arbitrary. You answer questions and when you land on the "exit the year" space, you are asked a question and must determine whether or not it happened in the year of the space you are on.For example:You might be sitting on 1982 and the question will be "Top Gun was Released in this Year".

The questions are fair, fun, and of a pleasant mix.My wife and I enjoy playing this game even alone.... so it is fun for 2 or more.

From a person with a collection of 200+ games, I give this game a "Highly Recommend". ... Read more

    Reviews (10)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product for the price
I couldn't find a nice but reasonable chip carosel with chips for under $60 to $125 in stores near me.And the flea market had a cheap set ($17)that was a plastic carosel with very cheap shiny plastic chips, looked like a child's toy.So I decided to take a chance on this item and I am very happy with it.Carosel looks like an expensive cherry, and the chips are very much the look and feel of clay chips except they do not have the weight of a clay chip. It also included 2 decks of plastic-coated poker cards. So with tax and shipping I have just under $32 in this set and love it.Excellent value.

3-0 out of 5 stars Watch it when you buy these poker chips
As has been noted on several other reviews on amazon, sure these are nice poker chips and save you a lot of $ as opposed to the clay sets. However, there is a BIG difference in the chips in this set as opposed to the other Cardinal sets, and you still pay the same price.

First of all, you will notice three different descriptions on the Cardinal products: Dual-toned chips, Quality Poker Chips, and Heavyweight chips. The ones included in this set are the dual-toned chips, which are the lightest weight and worst in quality that Cardinal makes. Also, they make the 100-chip sets of this quality. The ones included in the older Cardinal Texas Hold'Em tins are the Quality Poker Chips, which are essentially the same chip, but have a metallic center inside which makes the chips sound like they are clay chips when being used. The third set are the heavyweight chips which are included in the newer Cardinal Texas Hold'Em tins and in the 100-chip professional chip sets. The chips in these look and feel like clay chips, but you still only pay $19.99 for the Texas Hold'Em set and $9.99 for the 100-chip set.

So for those of you purchasing these sets for Christmas this year, be sure that if you're purchasing a significant amount of poker stuff this year, be sure to get the similar types of chips =)

5-0 out of 5 stars a good substitute for clay chips
These chips are a good substitute for the real clay ones. My friends and I usually play poker every day for $1 a game(buy in) and $5 a game(buy in)and these chips have worked great. Especially because you have an extra $100 in your poket

4-0 out of 5 stars Very nice for the price
If you are looking for some nice poker chips and are not able to pay $100+ on professional casino quality chips this is for you. It includes 200 poker chips (50 white, 50 red, 50 green, 50 blue). A decent wood rack that holds the chips, two packs of cards (included) and a dealer chip (also included). The rack handle is of poor quality and will lose its color quickly. But overall this is a nice rack of chips which have similar measurements of casino chips. That means you can practice chip tricks with these and impress your friends.200 chips are OK but if want more chips you can find the Deluxe Poker Chips Tin right here on Amazon for 9.99 (200 Chips). If you ask me though, I would rather buy another Poker Rack (with 2 more pack of cards and dealer button) instead.

By the way if you were wondering the color value of the chips in casinos starting from the lowest is: white (usually 1 cent or $1.00), red (5 cents/ $5.00), blue (10 cents/ $10.00), and green (or yellow) (25 cents/ $25.00). Or like we do (since we play pretend) wh-$25, rd-$50, bl-$75, gr-$100; you know to have that James Bond/Vegas feel. Anywho, have fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good for friends
Ok me and my friends are 14, and we usually get together on friday nights and play poker at eachother houses.Everyone piched in like 4 dollars (5 of us) and we bought this.It is just what we needed!200 chips is great, they are very durable, and the paint might not be perfect but hey we just want to play!I reccomend these for whoever just wants to have fun and play with friends/partys/ and just with family.a++i am gonna buy some more chips though so we can have more players. ... About Butterfly

Hikosuke Tamasu founded Tamasu Co., Ltd. in the small town of Yanai City, Japan in 1950. This was the beginning of a company career which is almost unique in table tennis. A renowned international for Japan, Tamasu fulfilled his dream of a lifetime when he made his hobby his profession. At that time, he could hardly imagine that he would make Butterfly the leading brand worldwide. Creativity, durability, and a profound technical knowledge meant success. 0ver and over again he looked for new possibilities in order to optimize techniques by innovative playing material. Tamasu realized that each player is different and has strengths and weaknesses. By offering individual playing material Tamasu wanted to help players right from the beginning to emphasize their individuality. Since 1983 Butterfly has its own training and research center in Tokyo. Highly qualified scientists co-operate with world class players and coaches for the development of rubber and blade technology. Butterfly's rubbers and blades are used by more than half of the participants at World and European Championships.

5-0 out of 5 stars sweat sweat poker
this a great poker set.it has everthing. i mean everthing. this is the best poker set 4 20$.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Cautious First Step
As an Australian buyer, the shipping costs and exchange rate make the failings of this set a little more obvious. Many criticisms are identified in other reviews. The plain green felt would have been SO much better with some markings - and the storage tin requires it to be folded, creasing the felt into little hills. The cards are adequate but don't feel durable. The 50 chips feel great, but equal numbers of colors make it hard to set different values.I'm concerned about reports of differing chip thicknesses between sets, as I really need some more for a 4 person game.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT POKER CHIPS
I bought this chip set to start off and it is great.it looks good and is great for anyone that wants to start playing. It is also great for people that have a regular game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Variable Quality a Big Problem
I have purchased four of these sets, in order to have enough chips for a large tournament.I discarded the felt and cheap cards.Three of the sets had nice, clean, sharply printed, and brightly colored chips. The fourth set had chips that were a dull "smeared" appearing surface. Not that big an issue, until I realized that the chips were just enought different in thickness that they did not stack evenly.A stack of 20 of the dull chips is one chip taller then a stack of the "clean" chips!!This is a potential disaster, requiring manual counting of every single chip!!I hope to exchange the bad set.If you're only buying one set, there's no problem with these hefty low cost chips. If you're buying more than one, I would make sure you could exchange them if they don't match.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice for what you pay...
Well the piece of felt is just an inch bigger than a joke.We used it so I can't complain too much, but don't buy this kit for the felt. That might bug you.

The chips are great for the price. They are evenly divided among 4 colors it might have been better if there were a few more whites and less greens, but that is picking nits.

Yes they are not as good as clay chips, but these and 80 bucks in your pocket feels pretty darn good.

The rack is nice, but they don't seem to sit on each other securly which makes them less useful for large tournaments (I purchased 2 sets and a turntable.)

Still for value I like the turntable a little more. It's the same price and a bargain without issue. ... Read more

My family is very competitive. We have so much fun with this game and have even used it to gamble. For children it would help them to add faster in their head and for adults it is just plain fun.A must buy!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for all ages
I bought two Shut the Box games at Christmas time, one for my family and one for my brother's. The game is housed in a beautiful box that looks like wood and smells faintly of ceder. The tiles and dice look antique -- it has the feel of an old game. My kids love it because we can play a "board game" by simply opening the case and beginning. Simple for all to play, even my kindergartener, but challenging as well. There is strategy here and each person develops their own after playing a few times. Imagine my disappointment to find it now for $30 less than I paid at Christmas! At this price, you should get one too. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars There are better ways to throw away money
There seem to be only 2 types of reviews for this item - 1 star and 5 star ratings.Judging on the item I bought, the 1 star ratings would be actual owners and the 5 star ratings would be shills hired by the manufacturer to lure people into buying this piece of crap.

To be fair, I bought it and tried it.Every single bad thing about this device is true.It is loud, it does not shuffle well even when you do finally get it to work every once in a while, and a 3 foot drop to the floor finally put it out of my misery.Had I known this would happen, I would have dropped it sooner.

Give this to someone only if you really despise them and would enjoy to seeing them suffer trying to get this device to work. That is about the only positive aspect you will be able derive from owning one.

1-0 out of 5 stars don't waste your money
I bought this for my son who has a coordination problem.I hoped this would allow him to play cards without me doing all the shuffling. This machine was a disaster! The cards flew out of the machine.About five cards from the right pile were moved for each card from the left pile. This was not what I needed for a child with poor coordination.I returned this machine and my son has reverted to just jumbling the cards up in a big pile to shuffle them.DO NOT buy this machine for somebody who is unable to shuffle with their hands!

5-0 out of 5 stars Quick, Reliable - a joy to operate and own.
At first the ten dollar price tag had me skeptical about the quality of this product. However, after giving it a try, I can honestly say that it was the best ten dollars I've ever spent! With this magnificent little machine, you can shuffle twice as fast as the professionals, and up to five times more efficiently.I've tried some of the larger, embellished, knock you off your feet pricey card shufflers, and they hardly stand up.I mean, I want to shuffle cards, not admire the wood and steel ornamentation.Trust me: I've tried the rest, and this is the best.A bold claim, to be sure.Isn't it worth your money just to see what all the fuss is about?

    Regards

1-0 out of 5 stars Does not work as advertised
I was looking for a card shuffler to speed up the game play of poker and unfortunately resorted to buying this "automatic card shuffler."First of all, the construction of this card shuffler is far from durable: the entire shuffler is made of plastic.Even with the flimbsy plastic construction, I would be willing to give this item a positive rating considering the low price; however, one fact which simply cannot be overlooked is that this so-called automatic card shuffler simply does not work. When you press the shuffle button, the cards either get stuck, bounce up and down, fly off the machine, or occassionally get feed to the center tray (where the cards should always end up).In addition, the shuffler is very noisy when operated. You can try buying this item (with the low price, most can certainly afford to) but it's not worth it...

2-0 out of 5 stars There are better shufflers out there
A card shuffler is a wonderful thing to have, I would never be without one again. We owned a 7 year old card shuffler that we loved and gave many to friends as a gift. This shuffler we bought as a gift, but were very disappointed to see how it worked.First it is extremely noisy, cannot carry on a conversation while shuffling.Secondly, the card tray is difficult to pull out over the shuffle button. If you are willing to spend more on an awesome shuffler, I would recommend Excalibur. They have a deluxe edition that has wooden sides. It is heavy weight, smooth and quiet. It's a pure joy to operate. ...
